Conversion to LHD

Right hand drive or left hand drive vehicles depends on the countries’ traffic regulations.  Right hand drive vehicles are found in countries where they drive on the left side of the road, vice versa.

Japan is a right hand drive country and Japanese made vehicles have steering wheel on the right hand side of the car. The only left hand drives you may find in Japan are foreign made imported vehicles to Japan.  Apparently one third of the world use right hand drive vehicles and the rest use left hand drive. 

As having Japanese vehicles most popular in the world for its fuel efficiency, durability, and cost performance, many of the customers even from the left hand drive countries prefer to import right hand drive used vehicles from Japan. 

Problems arise when certain left hand drive counties do not allow importing of right hand drive vehicles.  For this case, the choice is to convert the vehicle from right hand to left in Japan, before it is imported to these specific countries. 

The work of conversion from right hand drive to left hand drive is not an easy work; it is time consuming and costly.  It is hard to find the parts to convert as only right hand drive parts are available in Japan. It is also difficult to find the professional staff who can do quality conversion.

This is because we have conversion parts available only for certain models at this time.
